The Peoples Democratic Party in Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency of Ogun State has announced Temitayo Agemo-Okuboyejo as its consensus candidate for the House of Representatives seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Newsheadline247 gathered that Agemo-Okuboyejo emerged following consultations among party leaders and stakeholders within the constituency.
Before her emergence, she and Mr. Tunji Bankole were the two prominent aspirants jostling for the PDP ticket.
Party insiders disclosed that the decision was reached through a peaceful and rancour-free process, with both aspirants reportedly accepting the outcome in the interest of party unity ahead of the elections.
The development is being viewed by political observers as a major step in consolidating the PDP’s structure within the Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency as political activities gradually gather momentum ahead of 2027.
Sources within the party said the consensus arrangement reflected internal harmony and strategic planning aimed at strengthening the opposition party’s chances in the constituency.
