The leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ifo Local Government has distanced itself from a statement allegedly credited to party chieftain, Chief Joju Fadairo, endorsing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Hon. Ladi Adebutu, insisting that the APC remains united and firmly committed to securing victory in the 2027 general elections.
The position was made known during a stakeholders’ meeting and press conference held on Tuesday at Chief Fadairo’s residence in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
Speaking at the gathering, former APC Chairman in Ogun State, Chief Derin Adebiyi, condemned the statement attributed to Fadairo, describing it as inconsistent with the position of APC leaders and members in the local government.

Adebiyi expressed confidence that the APC would record a decisive victory in Ifo, citing the achievements of the administration of Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun across the local government area.
Also speaking, the APC Chairman in Ifo Local Government, Barrister Olumide Oduwole, assured party members and residents that the party would deliver overwhelming victories for all its candidates in the 2027 elections.
According to him, Governor Abiodun has executed more developmental projects in Ifo than any previous governor in the state’s history, making the APC the preferred choice of the electorate.
Former Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, RT. Hon. Olakunle Oluomo, praised the contributions of APC governorship candidate, Senator Olamilekan Solomon Adeola (Yayi), noting that the senator has attracted numerous developmental projects to Ifo Local Government.

He expressed confidence that voters in the area would support all APC candidates during the 2027 polls.
Similarly, former Ogun State PDP Chairman, Hon. Sikirulai Ogundele, who is now aligned with the APC, described Chief Fadairo as only one individual among many leaders in the local government, stressing that the political strength of Ogun State remains with the APC.
Ogundele maintained that Senator Adeola and other APC candidates would emerge victorious in Ifo Local Government and across the state.
Other stakeholders who addressed the gathering echoed similar sentiments, insisting that the APC remains united and well-positioned for victory.
In a dramatic turn, Chief Joju Fadairo reportedly apologised to APC leaders and members present at the meeting, reaffirming his loyalty to the party and declaring his support for Senator Olamilekan Solomon Adeola (Yayi) and all APC candidates ahead of the 2027 elections.

Among those present at the meeting were the Executive Chairman of Ifo Local Government, Hon. Idris Kusimo, former Local Government Chairman Hon. Kikelomo Delano, party executives, ward leaders and other prominent APC stakeholders from across Ifo Local Government.
The meeting ended with a renewed pledge by party leaders to work together to ensure a resounding APC victory in Ifo and Ogun State in 2027.
