Joy and excitement filled the air in Lemomu town, Atan Otta, on Wednesday as the Ogun State Government presented the Staff of Office to the newly recognized Onilemomu of Lemomu Otta, HRH Oba Sakiru Ijaduade, marking a significant milestone in the history of the community.
The Executive Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, represented at the well-attended ceremony by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Dr. Rotimiolu Akinlesi, presented the Staff of Office to the monarch amidst jubilation, celebration and an outpouring of goodwill from the people of Lemomu Otta.
The Executive Chairman of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Hon. Wasiu Lawal, FCA was represented by Prince Lookman Opaleye of the Department of Chieftaincy at the Local Government.
The Olota of the Ancient and Paramount Ottaland, Awori Kingdom, His Majesty, Professor Adeyemi Obalanlege, Ph.D. (Lanlege Ekun II, Arole Iganmode, Olofin Apesin Olode), in his capacity as the prescribed authority over the area, expressed profound appreciation to Governor Dapo Abiodun for the recognition and presentation of the Staff of Office to Oba Sakiru Ijaduade.

Kabiyesi Olota commended the Governor for his continued commitment to the traditional institution in Ogun State, praying that Eledumare will continue to favour and strengthen His Excellency in all his endeavours, divine guidance and success as the Governor looks ahead to further public service and his aspiration to represent the good people of Ogun East Senatorial District in the Senate.
His Majesty also expressed his appreciation to the Egba Traditional Council, under the leadership of His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, CFR, the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, as well as the Olowu of Owu, HRM, Oba Professor Saka Adelola Matemilola, and other distinguished members of the Council for their support, cooperation and contributions towards the successful recognition and installation process.
While congratulating Oba Sakiru Ijaduade on the historic occasion, Kabiyesi Olota urged the sons and daughters of Lemomu to unite behind their new monarch and give him the necessary support to accelerate the development and progress of the town.
Kabiyesi Olota expressed confidence that, with the cooperation of the people and the leadership of the new monarch, Lemomu will witness greater development and occupy its rightful place among the communities of the Ancient Ottaland, Awori Kingdom.
