A commercial hall under construction in the Iyana Oloke area of Onikolobo has collapsed, leaving one construction worker severely injured.
The incident, according to eyewitnesses who spoke with NNewmen, happened around 1pm yesterday, and two workers were on the site when the incident occurred. While one escaped unharmed, the other, trapped under debris, has also been rescued.

Speaking on the incident, the chairman of the Ogun State Building Collapse and Protection Guild, Adebayo Ogunsola, revealed that preliminary findings indicate poor construction as the primary cause of the collapse.
The affected building has since been sealed off by the Ogun State Building Production Management to prevent further accidents, while residents and commuters in the area have been urged to exercise caution.
