Ogun State Ranks Among Top Five in National Ease of Doing Business Report

Ogun State has emerged among the top five states in the ranking of the best performing states in the report of the 2025 Subnational Ease of Doing Business released by the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC).

The report is a comprehensive data-driven assessment of how Nigeria’s thirty-six states and the Federal Capital Territory are shaping business competitiveness through regulation, infrastructure, and administrative efficiency.

It also assesses performance across sixteen indicators and thirty-six metrics covering electricity, infrastructure, digital connectivity, land administration, taxation, trade logistics, justice delivery investor support, and skilled labour readiness.

Ogun State made the top five ranking because it distinguished itself through consistent reform momentum, improved digital processes, and more predictable regulatory environments among Lagos, Kaduna, Oyo, and Federal Capital Territory which took first, second, third, and fourth positions in that order.

In statements signed by Director General, Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council, Princess Zahrah Mustapha Audu, PEBEC also released the report of 2025 Business Facilitation Act Performance among ministries, departments, and agencies in which the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board led with an impressive 90.6 percent score.
