The Ogun State chapter of the Inter-Party Advisory Council on Tuesday concluded its State Executive Council election, resulting in the re-election of Abayomi Sanyaolu as chairman for another three-year term.
According to a statement by the council’s Publicity Secretary, Oluwaseyifunmi Adeyemi, the election was held at the Independent National Electoral Commission office in Magbon, Abeokuta, and was conducted in a peaceful, transparent, and orderly manner.
The election brought together stakeholders and representatives of registered political parties across the state, reflecting IPAC’s commitment to internal democracy, unity, and strengthened inter-party collaboration in Ogun State.
At the conclusion of the exercise, the following officers were elected to the State Executive Council: Chief Olubukunla Soyoye – Deputy Chairman (Labour Party), Amb. Olufunke Olanrewaju – Secretary (ADP), Arc Akerele Abiodun – Deputy Secretary (BOOT Party), Alhaji Yaya Adesina – Treasurer (AAC), Mr. Biola Martins – Organising Secretary (APP), Dr. Yinka Williams – Financial Secretary (SDP), Adeyemi Oluwaseyifunmi – Publicity Secretary (YPP), Seriki Boyede Ijaduoye – Legal Adviser (ZLP).
The statement added, “IPAC Ogun State congratulates the re-elected Chairman, Comrade Abayomi Sanyaolu, and all newly elected executives on their emergence. Their election reflects the confidence reposed in them by member political parties.
“The Council also commends INEC for providing an enabling environment for the conduct of the election, as well as all stakeholders whose cooperation ensured a hitch-free process.
“The new leadership is expected to continue promoting political harmony, credible electoral processes, and constructive engagement among political parties in Ogun State and across Nigeria.
“IPAC Ogun State reaffirms its commitment to strengthening democracy and fostering unity among all political actors.”
