The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, also known as So-Safe Corps, has arrested three suspects over an attempted cable theft in Ijagun area of Ijebu-Ode.
The Corps Commander, Dr Soji Ganzallo said in a statement in Abeokuta that the suspects were apprehended by the Special Squad of the Ijebu Zonal Command during a routine patrol in the early hours of Monday, March second, twenty twenty-six.
Dr Ganzallo explained that the suspects 31-year-old Wale Mosadoluwa, 30-year-old Adeleje Okunuga, and 33-year-old Anifowose Michael were arrested while heading toward Ijagun area of the state.
He said the one of the suspects had during interrogation allegedly confessed to engaging in cable theft since twenty twenty-three and revealed that an accomplice currently in a correctional facility had directed him to retrieve tools from a hidden location.
The SO SAFE Corps Commander listed items recovered from the suspects to include a large cutter, pliers, a screwdriver, and a motorcycle.
He added that the suspects and recovered exhibits had been handed over to the Nigeria Police Force, Igbeba Area Command, for further investigation and possible prosecution.
