Barely two weeks ago, in which six persons died while three others were several injured, information at our disposal has is that another fatal incident has occurred at Sango-Ota tollgate end, along Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.
It was gathered that no fewer than three persons have been killed while six others suffered varying degrees of injuries.
In the latest accident, eyewitnesses revealed that an articulated vehicle lost control and ran into two other vehicles crushing iit and other road users.
The vehicle was said to be descending to the tollgate area from Ilo-Awela axis, on its way to Lagos, when it suffered a brake failure.
Traffic officers from the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency,TRACE, Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC and the Police are currently at the scene.
Eyewitnesses added that injured victims had been rushed to the State Hospital at Onipanu,Ota, while the corpses have been deposited at the morgue.
Meanwhile, traffic at the tollgate was earlier affected as commuters and motorists were held in the gridlock while safety officials were evacuating the casualties.
