Renowned medical practitioner and humanitarian, Dr. Bolaji Marie Odusina, has successfully concluded a multi-faceted community initiative comprising a free medical outreach, media engagement tour, and distribution of Ramadan palliatives to underserved communities.
The initiative, which took place across several locations, was aimed at improving access to basic healthcare services, raising public health awareness, and supporting vulnerable individuals during the just concluded holy month of Ramadan.
During the medical outreach which was held on March 17th at Sagamu and March 18th at Ado-Odo/Ota local government area, hundreds of residents benefited from free health consultations, basic laboratory tests, medications, and professional medical advice. The program addressed common health concerns, including hypertension, diabetes, and infectious diseases, while also promoting preventive healthcare practices.
As part of the outreach, Dr. Odusina embarked on a strategic media tour, engaging with various radio and television and online news platforms to educate the public on key health issues and encourage healthier lifestyles. The media appearances further amplified the impact of the initiative, reaching a wider audience beyond the physical outreach locations.
During the media tour, Dr Odusina declared her intension to contest for the governorship seat of Ogun state with her major concern of correcting abnormalities in governance and also making sure that everyone especially the less privilege enjoys the dividend of democracy.
In the spirit of compassion and community support that defines Ramadan, food items and essential palliatives were distributed to families in need. Beneficiaries expressed deep appreciation for the timely intervention, noting that the support would significantly ease the burden during the fasting period.
Speaking on the success of the initiative, Dr. Odusina emphasized the importance of giving back to society and ensuring that healthcare remains accessible to all, regardless of socio-economic status.
“This outreach is part of our ongoing commitment to improving community health and supporting vulnerable populations, especially during significant periods like Ramadan,” she stated.
The initiative underscores Dr. Odusina’s continued dedication to humanitarian service and public health advocacy, with plans underway to expand future outreach programs to reach even more communities.
