Gateway Air is set to commence domestic flight operations on Monday, April 13, 2026, connecting key cities across Nigeria.
The announcement was made in Abeokuta by Kayode Akinmade, who revealed that the move aligns with the state government’s vision to boost connectivity and provide more convenient travel options for residents and businesses.
According to the statement, the airline will operate routes linking Iperu to Abuja, as well as Abuja to Port Harcourt, Calabar, and Jos, with additional connectivity expected to expand over time.
The initiative is part of the broader efforts of Dapo Abiodun’s administration to position Ogun State as a key player in Nigeria’s aviation and economic landscape.
