A frontline governorship aspirant under the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ogun State, Dr. Bolaji Marie Odusina, has taken a significant step in her political journey with a high-level courtesy visit to the party’s Pioneer National Chairman and Founder, Ralph Nwosu, in Abuja.
The strategic meeting, held in the nation’s capital, served as an opportunity for Dr. Odusina to formally present her aspiration to contest in the 2027 Ogun State governorship election under the ADC platform, while also engaging in in-depth discussions on party structure, leadership dynamics, and the broader political landscape in Nigeria.
During the visit, Mr. Nwosu, a respected figure in Nigeria’s democratic evolution and party development, offered valuable insights drawn from decades of experience in political organization and nation-building. He emphasized the importance of grassroots mobilization, internal party cohesion, and visionary leadership in achieving sustainable electoral success.
Speaking after the meeting, Dr. Odusina described the ADC founder as “exceptionally warm, receptive, and inspiring,” noting that their interaction went beyond a formal visit to a deeply engaging mentorship session. She revealed that Mr. Nwosu shared practical strategies and guidance that would shape her approach to leadership and governance as she continues consultations ahead of the 2027 race.
“I am deeply honored and encouraged by the fatherly blessings and words of wisdom I received,” she stated. “His support has further strengthened my commitment to serve the good people of Ogun State with unwavering dedication, transparency, and integrity.”
Dr. Odusina reiterated her campaign mantra, “Ilera Ati Itesiwaju” (Health and Progress), stressing that her vision for Ogun State is centered on improving healthcare delivery, enhancing social welfare, and driving sustainable economic development across all sectors.
She described the Abuja engagement as a defining milestone in her political journey, adding that she looks forward to continued mentorship and support from elder statesmen within and beyond the party.
“As I continue this journey, the guidance of experienced leaders like Mr. Nwosu remains invaluable. Their wisdom will play a critical role in shaping a people-focused and development-driven agenda for Ogun State,” she added.
