Odeda Politician Debunks False Violence Allegation, Vows Legal Action

Date:

Comrade Olusola Adewusi, widely known as Skingy, has strongly refuted reports linking him to a purported violent incident at 55 Hotel in the Ibara Housing Estate, describing the claims as entirely false, misleading, and malicious.

In a statement released on April 18, 2026, Adewusi dismissed the widely circulated allegations of an attack on certain individuals, insisting that no such incident occurred. He emphasized that neither he nor any legislative officials in Odeda Local Government were involved in any act of violence.

Clarifying the situation, Adewusi stated that there was no attack, no threats, and no disruption as portrayed in the report. He explained that the incident in question was a minor disturbance involving Mr. Rasheed Akindele, who was allegedly intoxicated and behaving in a disorderly manner at the venue.

According to Adewusi, Akindele made provocative remarks and attempted to incite a confrontation, but the situation was swiftly de-escalated. He noted that calm was restored when Akindele’s brother, Hon. Musiliu Akindele, intervened and escorted him away to prevent further tension.

Adewusi firmly maintained that no individual or group assaulted Akindele, adding that any injury reported could not be attributed to an attack by him or any council member.

He described the publication as a calculated attempt to tarnish his reputation and incite unnecessary unrest within the community. Consequently, he warned those responsible for spreading the false narrative to desist immediately or face legal consequences, stressing that such actions constitute defamation under Nigerian law.

Reaffirming his dedication to peace, unity, and responsible leadership, Adewusi urged residents of Odeda Local Government and the general public to disregard the misleading report.
