In a grand and elegant reception held at Maridom Hall in the ancient city of Ottaland, His Majesty, Professor Adeyemi Obalanlege, Ph.D (Lanlege Ekun II, Arole Iganmode, Olofin Apesin Olode), the Olota of the Ancient and Paramount Otta Aworiland, joined an array of eminent personalities to celebrate a distinguished son of the kingdom, CP Aremo Adebola Ojugbele, on his elevation to the rank of Commissioner of Police in the Nigeria Police Force.

In his remarks, His Majesty extolled CP Adebola Ojugbele as a true embodiment of Yoruba values “Omoluabi”, who has consistently displayed exceptional character, humility, and professionalism in his service to the community and the nation at large.
Kabiyesi Olota expressed gratitude to Almighty for the continued rise of sons and daughters of Ottaland across various fields of endeavour, acknowledging the recent promotions of three illustrious indigenes, CP Lateef Ahmed, CP Fatai Tijani, and CP Adebola Ojugbele, to the rank of Commissioner of Police. His Majesty further encouraged the youth of the land to remain diligent and strive for excellence in their respective careers.

The event, held on Sunday, 26th April 2026, at Maridom Hall, Ilo Awela, Otta, attracted a distinguished gathering including the Deputy Governor of Ogun State and Mother of the Day, Her Excellency Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele fnse, the Beere of Aworiland and a proud daughter of Otta-Awori Kingdom. Also in attendance were the Chairman of the occasion, AIG Simeon U. Akpanudom, psc, fdc, mnim, mnip; the Maiyegun of Ottaland, Distinguished Senator Akin Odunsi; Hon. Engr. Tunji Akinosi, Member representing Ado-Odo/Ota Federal Constituency; distinguished members of the Olota-in-Council; community leaders; family members, friends, and well-wishers.
The reception, organised by the Otta Community and chaired by Aare Ayodele Amos Bankole (Otun Maiyegun of Ottaland), witnessed a rich convergence of royalty and dignitaries, including the Alagbado of Agbado, Awori Kingdom, HRM Oba Adedayo Shyllon, the Onitetiku of Owode Otta, HRM Oba Dr. Wasiu Ogungbayi, Alayeluwa Oba Clement Olusegun Akinyemi(Ajana of Ijana Otta), Grand Chief Imam, Sheikh Sabeeq Aina Aladi, alongside top government officials, community stakeholders, security personnel, Olota Chiefs and Baales, among other notable figures.

In his remarks, the honouree, CP Adebola Ojugbele, expressed profound appreciation to all attendees for the honour bestowed upon him. He gave all glory to God and extended heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to his journey in life, particularly his farther, the Onilogbo of Ilogbo Asowo, Otta, Awori Kingdom, Oba (Barr.) Samuel Ojugbele.
He paid special tribute to His Majesty, the Olota of Otta, the Deputy Governor, and the AIG—whom he described as a mentor—as well as members of the Olota-in-Council, political leaders, community stakeholders, friends, and well-wishers for their presence and unwavering support.
On behalf of the organising committee, High Chief Ayodele Bankole and Hon. Wasiu Adewale Lawal, FCA(Chairman, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government), expressed gratitude to all contributors and prayed for continued unity and more occasions of celebration within the community.
The reception further affirmed the importance of recognising merit, dedication, and selfless service among the sons and daughters of Aworiland.
