2027: Ota Residents Back Tinubu and Yayi as Adeniji Mobilizes Community

Date:

Support for the 2027 political ambitions of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu received a fresh boost in Ota, Ogun State, as the Patron of Ota Progressive Forum, Olootu Bolaji Adeniji, rallied hundreds of residents in support of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Our correspondent reports that the mobilisation exercise, held on Monday, commenced at the old Olota Palace, where Adeniji and his supporters embarked on a colourful procession through Okeide and Ahmadiya sections of the town before proceeding to Zion Methodist School, venue of a special meeting of APC members in Ota Ward 2.

The procession, accompanied by traditional drums, music and enthusiastic youths, attracted residents who lined the streets as participants displayed banners and chanted solidarity songs for Yayi, Tinubu and other APC candidates ahead of the 2027 elections.

He called on party stakeholders, community leaders and residents to unite behind YAYI’s governorship ambition, describing Ota as a strategic community capable of contributing significantly to the party’s electoral fortunes in Ogun State.

According to him, “Ota has a critical role to play in ensuring that the APC records overwhelming victory in the state, and I urge party stakeholders, community leaders and residents to work together towards delivering an unprecedented electoral performance for YAYI as our next governor

Adeniji described YAYI as an accomplished politician whose legislative interventions, according to him, had impacted positively on communities and residents across Ogun State.

He cited interventions in education, road infrastructure, healthcare, markets, empowerment programmes and support for artisans as evidence of YAYI’s record of service.

“YAYI’s footprints can be seen across various sectors, including education, roads, healthcare, markets, empowerment programmes and artisans’ support. These efforts have positively improved the lives of many residents.

“He has done so much as a senator and he will do so much more when he becomes governor of Ogun State; and so I urge our people to consider the senator’s record when making their electoral choices,” Adeniji said

The Ogun West Initiative convener also mobilised support for President Tinubu’s re-election, urging APC members and supporters to back the President for a second term to consolidate his administration’s ongoing reforms.

Adeniji also stressed the importance of unity among APC members and stakeholders, saying internal cohesion and sustained grassroots mobilisation would be crucial to the party’s success in 2027.

“I want us all to close ranks and ensure that Ota delivers massive votes for YAYI, President Tinubu and other APC candidates,” he concluded
