The Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly and APC Consensus Candidate for Odeda State Constituency, Rt. Hon. Daisi Olusegun Victor Elemide, on Wednesday participated in the direct primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) held across Odeda Local Government.
The exercise recorded an impressive turnout of party faithfuls, stakeholders, women, youths and dedicated APC members across the various wards in the local government, further reflecting the strength, unity and growing support for the progressive family in Odeda.
As part of his commitment to ensuring a peaceful and transparent process, Rt. Hon. Elemide personally visited five different wards across the local government to monitor the conduct of the primary exercise and interact with party faithfuls.
Speaking with journalists during the exercise, the Speaker expressed satisfaction over the peaceful atmosphere, orderly conduct and political maturity displayed by party members throughout the process.
Rt. Hon. Elemide specially commended and appreciated the Executive Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun CON, for his exemplary leadership and commitment to sustaining peace, unity and internal democracy within the party.
The Speaker also expressed profound gratitude to the APC National Leader and former Governor of Ogun State, Aremo Olusegun Osoba, for his fatherly role, leadership support and continuous guidance towards the stability and progress of the party.
He equally appreciated the Incoming Governor, Distinguished Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI), for his unwavering commitment to the growth of the APC and the strengthening of progressive politics across Ogun State.
Rt. Hon. Elemide further thanked the respected Apex Leaders of Odeda Local Government, party executives, stakeholders and fellow aspirants for their maturity, unity, sportsmanship and collective commitment towards ensuring a successful and peaceful exercise across the local government.
The Speaker also appreciated the overwhelming support and confidence reposed in his leadership by party faithfuls across the wards, noting that the massive participation further demonstrated the strong bond between the people and the party.
He reaffirmed his commitment to continue delivering quality representation, impactful leadership and greater democratic dividends for the people of Odeda State Constituency.
According to him, the journey towards greater development, stronger representation and continuous progress for Odeda remains on course.
The successful conduct of the primary election once again reflected the stability, unity and progressive spirit within the APC as preparations continue ahead of the 2027 general elections
