The Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, on Saturday announced the result of the All Progressives Congress direct presidential primary election held across the state, declaring Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the winner of the exercise in Ogun State.
Governor Abiodun, who served as the Ogun State Coordinator and Collation Officer for the presidential primary election, disclosed that a total of 343,407 registered party members were recorded across the state, while 323,164 members were duly accredited to participate in the process. He added that 322,485 votes were cast during the exercise.
According to the governor, President Tinubu secured a total of 322,485 votes, while Mr. Stanley Osifo Osayamen polled zero votes.
Governor Abiodun described the exercise as peaceful, orderly, transparent, and a true reflection of the democratic culture and unity within the All Progressives Congress in Ogun State.
He stated that by the authority vested in him by the National Working Committee of the party, he officially declared President Bola Ahmed Tinubu winner of the 2026 APC direct presidential primary election in Ogun State.
The governor also congratulated President Tinubu on his victory and reaffirmed the commitment of party members and stakeholders in Ogun State towards the continued success of the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
