he latest outburst from the Ogun State PDP, delivered through its ever-misfiring media consultant, Afolabi Orekoya, is nothing but another desperate attempt to stay relevant in a political space they have long lost.
Labeling Distinguished Senator Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi) a “stranger” is not only false, it is an insult to the collective will of the people of Ogun West who, in 2023, spoke loudly and clearly by electing him as their Senator. That mandate settled the question of identity once and for all. The people know their own, and they chose Yayi.
What we are seeing now is not concern for Ogun State, but fear. Fear of a man whose growing popularity, grassroots connection, and proven capacity have unsettled a PDP that is clearly out of touch and out of ideas.
Orekoya’s constant misfires are a reflection of that desperation, an attempt to impress, but one that repeatedly exposes the emptiness of his party’s arguments.
Senator Adeola’s journey has been defined by service, accessibility, and results. His bond with the people is real, visible, and earned—not stitched together by propaganda. Across Ogun State, his message of inclusive growth and people-focused leadership continues to resonate.
Rather than engage in petty attacks and campaign of calumny, the PDP should face the real issue: they have no clear plan, no compelling vision, and no credible alternative to offer the people of Ogun State.
Today, the Ogun PDP stands as a shadow of itself, directionless, disconnected, and reduced to noise-making instead of meaningful opposition. The people deserve better than recycled talking points and hollow criticism.
Senator Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi) remains focused on a greater and more prosperous Ogun State, one driven by opportunity, development, and shared progress. That is where his energy is, and that is why the people continue to stand with him.
As 2027 approaches, Ogun people will choose substance over noise, performance over propaganda, and vision over bitterness.
No amount of attacks can shake the growing confidence in Yayi. The movement is real, and it is only getting stronger.
